You hear about it before we do. The client whose systems went down again, the firm worried about their cyber insurance renewal, the business whose IT provider has quietly stopped answering. If you point them our way, there's £500 in it, for you or for a charity you choose.
We're dataplanet, an infrastructure, managed IT and cyber security provider in Cirencester, working with UK businesses from ten to fifteen hundred staff. Mostly professional services, engineering and regulated firms. Managed IT, cyber security, backup and disaster recovery, and the projects in between.
Most of our best clients came from someone who knew them. Not from advertising, and definitely not from cold calls. So rather than spend money interrupting strangers, we'd rather share it with the people whose recommendation actually means something.
The part that matters most to you. Your relationship with your client is worth more than any referral fee, and we know it. We won't hound them, we won't add them to a mailing list, and if we're not the right fit for what they need, we'll tell them so and say who might be. You're lending us your credibility. We treat it that way.
You don't need to know anything about IT to make a good referral. You just need to recognise the moment someone mentions one of these:
If any of that sounds like a conversation you've had recently, that's a referral.
An email, a phone call, or just pass on their details with a quick word to them first. However suits you and them.
An honest, no-obligation chat about what they need. If we're not right for them, we say so early.
We tell you what happened either way. You never have to chase us to find out how your introduction landed.
£500 to you, or to a charity of your choosing. Your call, and we'll happily make the donation in your name.
A note for regulated firms. If you're an accountant, solicitor or IFA, your professional body may require you to disclose referral arrangements to your client, and some firms have policies against accepting fees at all. That's exactly why the charity option exists, and why we're happy to put anything you need in writing. Tell us how your firm handles it and we'll work the way you need to work.
No forms, no portal, no partner agreement to sign. Just tell us who they are and what you've heard, and we'll take it from there.
