“people are the strongest link; they’re what make your organisation thrive” – This is an NCSC statement, and in my opinion, it is right on the money.
However, people are also the biggest risk to your organisations cyber security posture, with an estimated 82% of breaches due to human error. We believe that the problem is not with people, but the training that they receive – here’s why, and also how Dataplanet can help!
Regardless of industry or business type, its almost certain that its success is based on a collection of people, that each bring very different skills, but all complimentary to the overall business, and whilst we can and do implement some incredibly sophisticated technological countermeasures, we still need our colleagues to be able to spot and halt some of these attacks, as invariably, some will make it through the technological countermeasures.
The usual approach is to procure a system that provides an education and simulation platform. It has a selection of canned training modules, and the IT team spend valuable time, setting up and maintaining the system. They send out a bulk of simulation emails, invariably the same email goes to everyone, and the colleagues who fall victim to these are requested to go through the training module again. Sometimes this can all feel a little bit like its some form of rehabilitation session, and it can often be seen as a distraction to the hectic work lives that we lead, something that we need to ‘get through’ to move on. The training video plays, we try hard to watch it, and then the phone goes, we check that, answer that message, see that the video has finished, click next, and there is a question…A brief air of concern sets in, wondering what to do next, and not give away that the video didn’t really get watched at all, and then we notice that our colleague is also going through the same process…..”Ere, mate, what’s the answer to this one?”
Sound familiar? (By the way, you’ll notice that I have used the word “we” a number of times above – that’s because we, regardless of skills are not impervious to this either!)
Dataplanet can to provide the next evolution of cyber security training platform, that aims to fix the training problem, not just hand you expensive tools and expect you to do it yourself!
It is a true ‘set and forget’ solution that doesn’t require extensive IT Admin time to setup and monitor. Simulations are personalised to individuals automatically, are delivered directly to your end user community with insights and training content delivered directly to their inboxes. The platform automatically adjusts the frequency, difficulty and the content of the simulations and training to meet the unique needs of each person, and doesn’t require you or your IT team to do a thing!
You’re probably thinking that this sounds a little too good to be true? Well, why not let us demo the platform to you and see the benefits this platform brings, or take advantage of our 14-day free trial. You wont need credit cards etc, and I’ll guide your IT team through getting it running in about 10 minutes – feel free to reach out to me or a member of the team to find out more.
